Seeing one taking-off at dusk on full afterburner was one of the cooler things I saw while I was in the Air Force.

I can beat that. Went to the Westover air show and they had one on display you could actually get into and climb through. We get about three or four people away from the stairs and a thunderstorm hits, cancelling the air show due to the lightning strike risk.

With the Concorde, we starred into the face of a potential future. When disaster struck, as it is wont to in our endeavours on this planet, we took a step back, which is where we've been ever since.

It's a strategic bomber. No airspace will be dominated by this aircraft.

The B-1 can fly undetected and unimpeded in closed airspace and prosecute enemy targets in opposing force countries with no loss of allied assets. I would say is pretty close to the definition of air dominance.

Air Supremacy
The next airpower state is air supremacy, which Joint Pub 1-02 defines as “that degree of air superiority wherein the opposing air force in incapable of effective interference.” Most theorists add that air supremacy is achieved when superiority is ensured just about everywhere, thus allowing friendly aircraft the ability to fly anywhere within the theater of operations. However, this airpower state does not adequately address the issue of airpower’s
effectiveness
at dropping bombs on enemy targets.
Air Dominance
The final airpower state is the attainment of
effectiveness
in the conduct of offensive air operations. While joint publications do not define air dominance, for the purposes of this paper it is the highest airpower state when the requisite
effectiveness
of airpower is achieved, that 100% of friendly bombs hit enemy targets while no enemy bombs hit friendly targets, that wars are won quickly (such as during the Six-Day War of 1967 and Operation Desert Storm of 1991), and that fewer friendly casualties are suffered.
